Biography

Dr. Muhammad Rezwanur Rahman is a Professor and Head of the Department of Biochemistry at Delta Medical College, Dhaka, and a Consultant Biochemist & Lab Incharge at AMZ Hospital, Dhaka. He holds an MD in Clinical Biochemistry from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (2008) and an MBBS from Sir Salimullah Medical College (1998). His research interests focus on biomolecules and trace elements, and he enjoys working in academic settings. Dr. Rahman is an active member of several professional organizations, including the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME) and the Society of Medical Biochemists. He has also contributed to the academic field through editorial roles in various journals.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure research adheres to ethical guidelines: Adhere to guidelines such as the Declaration of Helsinki and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
• Assess study protocols: Review informed consent forms and investigator qualifications.
• Verify informed consent documents: Ensure they are clear, comprehensive, and compliant.
• Oversee study progress: Review adverse events and ensure protocol adherence.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory laws: Adhere to regulatory standards such as FDA and EMA guidelines.
• Maintain impartiality: Avoid conflicts of interest and preserve confidentiality.
• Keep accurate documentation: Maintain records of IRB decisions, meeting minutes, and communications.
• Act as a liaison: Communicate between sponsors, investigators, and regulatory authorities.
• Stay updated on regulatory developments: Contribute to ethical training programs.
